What I have done:

At 9:00 am I began digitizing backlogged site plans for Area 1.3 of Amheida, which was a backlogged site plan from the 2005 season. I finished the first, Room 1 and 2 FSU 3, at 1:00 pm.

At 1:45 pm I began digitizing another backlogged site plan, Room 1 in Area 1.3, from the 2005 Amheida season. I finished at approximately 3:00 pm.

At 3:10 pm I began digitizing a third backlogged site plan, Room 3 in Area 1.3, from the 2005 Amheida season. I finished at 6:50 pm.

What I have learned:

Today I learned patience. The last plan I digitized (Room 3 in Area at Amheida) was extremely complex and required quite a bit of concentration and time. When it was completed I was satisfied with the finished product and proud that I had finally finished it. I find that digitizing these plans is surprisingly rewarding because I start with a simple scanned image that someone in the field drew in pencil, and finish with a completely customizable digital plan. I not only feel like I am accomplishing something for myself, but I feel like I am contributing to the completeness of the Dakhleh Oasis Project's data by digitizing information that would otherwise be impermanent.

Problems I have found:

I did not come across any problems today.
